Keep a little luck and a lot of heritage close to you. This Brass Turtle Trinket Box from Shambhavi Creations is inspired by the timeless wisdom of the turtle, a quiet symbol of stability, patience, longevity and grounded prosperity in many Indian homes. Handcrafted using the age-old Bastar Dhokra (Dokra) art technique, it carries the rhythm of artisan hands and generations of knowledge, shaped into metal.
Cast in solid brass and finished in an antique gold tone, the turtle comes with a hand-finished red shell of fine coiled lines. The lid is topped with a detailed floral design of teardrop petals and concentric rings, and the shell is edged with a beaded brass border. Small rings, earrings, coins, kumkum or keepsakes find a beautiful home here. No two pieces are exactly alike. Each one carries small variations that celebrate its handcrafted nature.

Dust with a dry, soft cloth. For a deeper clean use tamarind paste or lemon and salt, then rinse and dry at once. Brass darkens into a patina with age — many collectors prefer it. Avoid chemical polishes on the coil detail.
Each casting needs its own clay mould, broken to release the metal. Coil spacing, surface texture and tone vary piece to piece. That variation is the craft's signature, not a fault.
